I am looking to get a new (used) iPhone, but because I have an older vehicle and it needs to have a headphone jack capability. Does anyone know if any of the newer models that have come out in the past few years have a headphone jack adapter? I was reading that headphone jacks stopped after the iPhone 6 or 7. Just trying to figure out what is the newest iPhone I can get while still having a headphone port or adapter. Any help would be great! Thank you in advance.

Your better option might be a Bluetooth car adapter. Plugs into lighter socket, pairs Bluetooth to phone, then you tune car radio to the frequency set on the adapter.

There are also BT adapters that output to a 3,5mm jack, often gives better audio compared to using a radio signal (that can also be picked up by other cars in a traffic jam)

You can get any iPhone, an adapter is like $20 If you’re not keen on using an adapter then you’re stuck with the 6s which is unsupported as of the release of iOS16

The lightning to headphone Jack adapter is actually like $10 from Apple.

Well worth it as it should last a very long time.

Yeah thanks! And has a year warranty if I’m not mistaken?

Being stuck with a 6S is not such a bad thing to be stuck with.😁 That’s what I have; still lovin’ it.😄

Haha that's what I got currently. I like it, just been thinking about an upgrade sometime in the future. Mainly because of battery life.

This is exactly what i am doing with my car for two years now. My cars stereo doesn’t have a Bluetooth but has a 3.5mm headphone jack. So i use the lightning to 3.5mm female dongle that you can buy from any apple shop or even find within some new iphone boxes and a male to male 3.5mm jack cable and I connect my phone to my car stereo through the lightning dongle. Two years now i am happy and it works perfect for everything including youtube , music , calls , everything.
