I also don’t like vent ones because they move around or point the wrong direction. I did find a MagSafe dash mount one I like on Amazon, though it was long enough ago that I can’t find a link for you.

I have chosen vent mounts for some time as windshield mounts make my phone too far away and dash mounts have always left a mark after extended time with all the weather change.

The vent mount should be fine but yeas excessive heat will slow down the wireless charge to your phone. Cool batteries always work better than hot ones. When I turn on my heat though it comes from floor panels as heat rises. I use my vents for AC use mostly. Unless being used for side window defrosting.

Same issue here. I ended up finding a Spigen vent mount with an arm (Amazon) so that I can move the phone out of the way of the heat.

Unless you’re keeping heat on full board continuously for hours at a time, it’s probably fine. I’ve personally used vent mounts and I have not had a single problem living in anew England, where it goes down as low as like -20. I usually only need full heat for like 3-5 min then I turn down because I’m not trying to continue to increase temperature; just get it to around 60 to 65.
