Is the midnight color the same on iPhone 13 and iPhone 14? I wanted to buy an iPhone 13 in black but the black turned out to be dark blue. Is the iPhone 14 any better? Is there a chance to get back pure colors and matte backs once everybody will be fed up with all these silly hues? Or will Apple keep on selling blues for blacks and apples for oranges?

They’re the same. Also the same with the MacBook Air and Apple Watch too. I have the midnight AW7 and in sunlight it’s a very dark blue.

Thanks, that was my impression as well. Thus, no way to buy a new iPhone in black, white or just aluminium like the iMac, sadly.

I see that Apple is still selling the iPhone 12 in black. Is this black really black? Thanks, nbpf-_-

They called it Midnight for a reason. It was never black in the first place.

Right, thanks. I thought it was some sort of black, without any color blended in ...

Midnight was never marketed as black.
