Genuinely just curious to understand as this is a common view here - why is USB-C so important to you? I just see it as a different charger cable that I need to carry and don’t really understand why that matters

Speed for me. Lightning is shite for data transfer. If they had upgraded lightning to usb3/thunderbolt speeds I’d be equally as happy.

I know wireless is a thing, but you can’t beat a fast cable for large files.
