Did you try restarting the phone?

Just googled the different options quickly for you:

Easiest option would be to press one of the volume buttons + on/off, and wait for 30 seconds.

If that doesn’t work, there is a forced restart: quickly press and release „volume up“, do the same with „volume down“, then press the on/off switch and keep it pressed until the Apple logo appears.

Good luck!

So weird, I think I have a similar issue but the green/white hue is different on my phone. The phone itself and touch feedback seem to work but I can't read anything on the screen. No recent damage and it just began a few hours a go. I was using it, put it down, and picked it back up to a screen similar to this

looks like the recent iOS 16.1 or 16.1.1 is causing the green screens on the iphones, no info on this from Apple yet

Water damage is my bet. That's how my Galaxy S7 Edge looked back in the day. In my stupidity, I regularly took it in water. One day out of the blue it turned green.

I didn't drop it or had any sort of accident with it. The only thing I did was regularly shower with it to listen to music.

Need a new display. It probably got damaged but not quite enough to have a visible effect, until you went down some stairs, or tapped on it too hard and “the last straw” broke the phones screen.

Had a similar issue happen back on my iPhone 5s. I was on vacation in Sri Lanka (very humid). Put the phone on the night stand to sleep. Next day a I woke up and it looked similar to yours. I could still see everything on screen, but the display looked like a TV from the 80s. I guess from the humid air it got damaged, cause it didnt get wet or got dropped before that.

paulstelian97 t1_ixr6bzq wrote

Try regular reboot and hard reboot (hard reboot is mentioned in a different top level comment already) to exclude software glitches. If the issue persists or if it's visible on the Apple logo screen you may have to service the phone. Check your coverage, phone might still be new enough for warranty or Apple Care to work.

So you purchased it brand-new? Or are you actually claiming it never ever fell or anything before you owned it?

If you purchased it brand-new, how long ago did you purchase it? If it's under a year it's covered by Apple's warranty. If not, contacting Apple support is still worth a try since they sometime )often) cover defects after the initial warranty period has elapsed.

Just had this happen to me today with my almost brand new iPhone 13 Pro Max. Everyone kept asking if the screen was black and I was like "nope, its a shade off of mustard yellow".

I will say the entire process of filling an Assurion claim has been a huge pain in the ass since I can't do anything with my phone.

Assurion tech support "Please enter the phone number you're calling about". Dude, the screen doesn't work!!

Verizon, "Please enter the phone number on your account". Dude, the screen is broke!

Both of them: "Please download the affidavit, fill it out and upload it with a photo of your picture ID". The fuck? MY SCREEN IS BROKE!

Both of them: "Please back up your phone before returning." Again, my screen is broke, no face id, no tapping the passcode. It's broke. smdh

Did you try:

Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

For an emergency fix without a service center available that’s the best way to start.
