Hello folks,

Recently ordered the iPhone 14 plus. I wanted to order the pro max but it is on Backorder for about a month. So I want a phone as soon as possible, that's the reason I ordered the other one that will come in two days. I am not fancy with phones, all the time I have used androids. Just want a big screen a long battery life with a reliable phone. Will I regret this purchase? For $200 more I can get the pro max but my concern is the long waiting time. Just wondering if getting the plus is worth it, because my wife got the pro max 3 days ago and I was thinking if is better to get the same model or the other one. Thanks in advance for any information. !

It's worth it if you don't want to spend on the 120 Hz screen with an always one display and those three cameras.

Could get a 13 Pro Max and have a better spec phone though.

Does the 13 pro max it's better in specs? I thought being 14 it's going to be one step up than the 13 plus.

Yea. You get a smoother screen scroll, insane battery life, a better camera system, better performance.

Are you taking about the 14 plus or the 13 pro max. I read the 14 plus had the best battery ever in an Iphone

13 Pro Max.

Here’s the comparison.

https://www.apple.com/iphone/compare/?modelList=iphone-14-plus,iphone-13-pro-max

13 Pro Max is 4,352mah

14 Plus is 4,323 mah btw.

Basically the specs are the same except the battery is a little bigger and better camera. But I read somewhere else the 14 plus battery last longer than others phones according to a test.

Better and brighter screen too.

Plus the 13 pro max and the 14 plus have the same chipset, and they both have the same amount of ram.

Basically I don't use the cameras just regular shots here and there. 120hz screen being honest I don't know the difference between the 60hz and 120hz. It's more about size, battery size and reliability.

No you won’t. I always say upgrade when you need it to anything that’s the best right now. iPhone 14 is a great device! Speaking of the size it depends on what size you were using before. I upgraded to 13 Pro Max from a XS in September and first couple of weeks I was regretting it because the XS was much easier to operate in one hand. Two weeks later I got back to it to check if I still hate the Pro Max, and turned out not anymore. Loving the battery, loving the big screen!

Thanks for responding! I believe I won't regret because the last phone I had it was a Motorola. What I think even this is a big jump from Motorola to an iPhone I see everyone talking marvelous things about the 14 pro max. So in my mind I had the idea to get that one instead because it's the most ordered phone now. If I get it I will keep it for years. But had to order the one is in stock. Like I said before my wife got the pro max and I'll still use hers sometimes.

Not really unless 120hz and a better camera means a lot or you

Thanks for responding, those are not really important to me right now. Bigger screen, battery size and reliability are the most important things.

Unless you use both side by side and have some way to measure them you may not notice any difference.

Do you live near an Apple Store? I heard they usually get a small surge of stock on Black Friday since they know people start shopping and go drive in store engagement. Check apple.com throughout the day, particularly around 2-4pm is when I’ve been able to snag an online order for in-store pick up. I need to get another pro for a friend and betting on getting one today for them.

Should’ve gotten the 13 Pro Max if you’re worried about wait time.

Thanks for responding, could you provide any reason I'll be disappointed? Thanks in advance.

It’s literally the same thing, save for a slight graphics bump, as the base iPhone 13 series. Yea, the screen is larger, but that’s it.

jbpr77 OP t1_ixrx49d wrote

Do you mean the 14 plus is the same 13 version just with a bigger screen and better battery size?

1

toastyhoodie t1_ixrxaz8 wrote

Yes. Technically it has an extra GPU core open, but everything else is the same

3

jbpr77 OP t1_ixrxjc4 wrote

Didn't think about it since I'm coming from android and I believe even with this change it's a big difference.

You won’t be disappointed at all. 60hz on iOS is better than 120 hz on android. Plus the 13 pro max fees like a brick. I held the 14 plus on store and was amazed at how light it was! It has the best battery ever on a iPhone so you’ll enjoy it
