I'm basically looking to move to a smaller phone and better camera, which doesn't seem to exist in Android land any more, devices like the Xperia 10 IV and Pixel 6a are too big for me these days, and there's pretty much nothing available 5" or less with a decent camera. So on iOS how can I:

Click on photos and share them directly via Whatsapp, Onedrive and Googledrive?

Use a T9/candy bar type keyboard layout? (I could download apps on Android to simulate the old numeric layout/predictive text keyboards of pre-smartphone days, which suits one handed typing on a small screen)

Automate backup (over wifi only) to the cloud using Google One? Does this cover photos, videos, SMS/MMS, contacts etc? Or failing that, is there an Apple equivalent?

Move app icons around so my most used apps are all on the same page?

  1. Yes you could usually with the share sheet.
  2. I don't think you need that because the default keyboard is small enough.
  3. All I know is that Google One can't save everything but iCloud works more seamless in iOS.

You’ll surely be disappointed by the se. But obviously you can share photos and backup with iCloud. No idea about T9 but you can make the keyboard small for one hand typing or lookup the App Store for alternatives. https://i.imgur.com/3Zfs3oo.jpg

Icons can be arranged in order.

Mini has Face ID and screen code to unlock phone, larger screen. sE has fingerprint sensor/code unlock and a smaller screen.

13 Mini and SE 2022 both have good battery life for the average user. If you are on social media all day, streaming video and playing games, I’ve yet to find a phone that doesn’t have a “shit battery”.

thank you - any opinion on 12 mini, is there much difference to the 13. Yeah just want a camera and ergonomics and browsing, no games and few videos.

Heads up iCloud Photos is a sync service, not a backup.
