Yup, and 11 and 2020 SE, Any phone that was currently sold when Apple made the decision to pull the brick, eventually got packaged with out one.

Any iPhone sold along with the iPhone 12 or later had a version sold without the brick. Includes the 11 and the SE 2020 (which was sold with a power brick before the 12s came out).

I don’t think many iPhones ship with the block anymore. Once my 5W one gave out I bought the larger USB-C to Lightning one, but it didn’t come with the cable, but thankfully I had a spare one. Now I have one for my office and one for at home.

I got my refurbished XR last year in March with no power brick. I remember thinking the new XR box was for certain a 12 box.

If we were all still usb-a I could see not proving a brick. But we’re not and I’ve had to buy usc-c bricks because everything uses that now.

Yeah. They did that when the iPhone 12 series released.

This is the version I purchased in 2021. The guy thought I was crazy, but I knew the ones without the power brick were of newer manufacture.

Well to be honest, apple would have provided like 5w Usb C bricks, so you would have to buy new ones anyway. But apple would have preferred ipad or macbook chargers instead of the anker ones everyone just gets.
