I think if you've been keeping iOS up to date, you won't see tons of significant differences right away. What you will see, though, is that the screen is clearer and brighter, the battery will last considerably longer, the photos you take will be much better quality--especially for video. If you're a mobile gamer, you'll obviously see an improvement in the smoothness of the games you play.

It’ll actually be pretty different. 8S still has a home button right? If so you have to adapt to screen gestures instead. It’ll be a fun experience.

Well, there's a lot to expect. Here's a list:

  • OLED screen that is larger and brighter
  • Face ID
  • No telephoto camera but has an ultrawide camera
  • Night mode on all cameras
  • Autofocus on the front camera
  • A15 Bionic with 5 GPU cores

So there’s no fingerprint reader. Can I disable faceID?

There's no TouchID but you can just use a pin to unlock your phone.

Thank you! I think I’ll make the jump to the 14.

I do have to say that I prefer Face ID because my fingers are too sweaty for Touch ID.
