Are there any risks doing that, like Apple gimping your phone because of 3rd party etc etc? Right now we could get the battery replaced for about 30€, which doesnt sound bad to me if it even gives her 6more months. Im just wondering can the poor battery truly also affect to apps opening slowly and such

I'd honestly just schedule an apt and go to an Apple Store to get it done if you can. It's <$50 for an iPhone 8 and it will be genuine parts and an official repair. Not to say third party parts don't work, but they will be more consistent directly from Apple, and they can't use the third party repair against you if you need something else from them in the future. Worth the extra $20 imo

Yes, battery health affects the overall performance of the phone. With a weak battery, it needs to throttle itself, ie less power which results is less performance

If you get it repaired by third party even with an Apple part, it will say in settings unknown part. It will give a notification for 15 days and will say unknown part deeper in the general settings after that. Other than that for resale and an annoying notification for two weeks, the one for 30 will perform the exact same id say
