I just got an iPhone 14 pro max and it isn’t working for some reason, I went to the store were I bought my iPhone from and they told me that the phone needs to update to ios16, I tried to return the phone but they told me I can’t so I went to the Apple website and couldn’t find how to return it for repair on the web, So what should I do with it?

All 14’s come with iOS 16 out of the box. Which retailer did you buy it from? If it has an older iOS installed it’s definitely a fake iPhone and not a good one either.

What do you mean by “not working”? Is it not powering on? You need to be more specific if you want someone’s help.

What do you mean isn’t working?

And so far what actions have you tried to turn it on? Is it fully charged etc?

It is charged for more than two days, It just every time I do the settings it keeps getting me back to the start, restarting and restarting so many times

Alright in that case, I would recommend restoring it using a computer.

I will, But I do not think it is sus, The place I got my phone from was from a very known place, And I saw a TikTok of a couple facing the same problem, It might be a popular problem.

The weird thing is, the place you bought it from absolutely has to assist. They can’t just palm you off to the manufacturer - at least not where I’m from, that’s illegal

It is Legal where I live I guess cause it’s not the first time 🤷🏻

The place you bought it from is not helping? because this is not normal. Maybe post a picture of phone you have - and some reddit users can confirm it is not fake.

Good Luck, Let us know how you make out.
Have you tried resetting -

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  3. Press and hold the side button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

Why isn’t it working? If they told you to update, did you? If not, go on Settings>General>Software Update
