Is iphone still a premium phone in US ?? where 50 percent of market share belongs to apple and phones are priced at a comfortable 600$ ( starting price ).

PS: i live in india and iphone is still somewhat seen as a status symbol so am curious

When I lived in a city it was mainly iPhones but when I went to Alaska it was a lot more androids.

iPhones are still largely considered premium phones, due to the connotation of Apple being expensive. There is in fact, some.... brand loyalty... that goes to peoples' heads, so a lot prefer to buy iPhones. Even if it's not the most financially sound decision. The fact of the matter - $1,000 for a phone is too expensive, but people will buy them anyway.

I’ve consistently used iPhone since iPhone 5… it’s just a smartphone - like any other. Nothing special about ‘em.
