Ordered an iPhone 13 (currently using the 6s). I have some apps which I have set up to open with fingerprint id. What happens when I switch phones. Do I have to reset these? Should I change it before I switch phones? What process should I follow?

It should just switch over to the Face ID. Assuming you choose to use it. If you set it up I will substitute for the thumbprint

You can also choose to use a numeric passcode if you want. But the transfer should transition from Touch ID to Face ID.

When you download them you’ll just setup to use Face ID instead of Touch ID it’s quite the simple answer…

No on my current phone I have a couple set up to use fingerprint. I’m saying when I set up the new one so I need to do anything or does it automatically just update because it’s a new phone? And so I don’t have to worry about changing any settings.
