If it’s a 13 it should still be under warranty anyway, talk to your mum about going to Apple together and getting it looked at

Why panic? But the first question is did you already try a hard reboot?

Plug it into a computer? Check if it is drawing any power when you plug it in to charge? Call a repair shop to take a look?

Time to sharpen your dish washing skills and maybe take the trash out. It may soften the blow some 😂

I just woke up today with the same issue on my iPhone 14 pro. Thankfully the alarm went off on my watch but my phone was completely off and unresponsive. I managed to get it back on by pressing Vol Up, Vol Down then press the Power button and keep it pressed until the Apple logo appears on the screen. When it booted up the battery was at 100% 🤔

If you didn’t break it accidentally, then what’s the be afraid? Check if you’re still under warranty, and apple will replace it unless they find damage to the device.

My iPhone 13 Pro did that a few days ago. Do the following quickly. Volume Up, Volume Down, Hold button on right until apple logo appears.

I don’t know why it happened either. I don’t do automatic updates.

An anecdote just to counter this: this summer I brought my 13 Pro in (which is under AppleCare+) when it started acting up after I had been in a terrible downpour with the phone in my pocket. It wouldn't charge, and the display wouldn't accept touch input. At my appointment, the water sticker in the SIM tray was not red. After about 5 minutes if fiddling, the touchscreen started working again. But, it was still failing diagnostics, and they said they wanted to send it out for repair, because unexpected failures (e.g., it should be able to get wet from a rainstorm) get sent out for advanced diagnostic repairs. They told me because of the suspected water damage it would cost the AC+ deductible.

It took over a week to get returned back to the store, surprisingly, and came back with a new rear system that was replaced free of charge under warranty.

So, no, they don't always find water damage, even when you tell them that the phone stopped working after it got wet.

This sub is fucking retards giving sarcastic responses to genuine questions like yours because they are literally apes that don’t know the answer. I would find another technology type sub Reddit to avoid this.
