Hi,

I recently switched from Android to Iphone after 6 years and was wondering if there are any good apps for reading where I can import my own books.

And if they have free books I would actually want to read, even better ( as in, best sellers or self improvement from well known ppl and not erotic literature from an up and coming author nobody heard of)

I would suggest getting a library card at your local library. Most will allow you to borrow ebooks through apps like Libby and Hoopla.

Here in Spain the public libraries don't have that. But thanks for the suggestion

Ahh noted. How USA of me to assume you were in the states. We lived in Spain for a year. Wonderful country with wonderful people.

You can join the broward county library online and receive a card number via email. There are probably a few other libraries you can join online.

SideBooks, in App Store, is a PDF reader primarily , better for comics/graphic novels

Google Play Books let’s you upload your own books and download to any device or read online

Apple Books, you can import any DRM free ebooks or any PDF’s on your Mac and they sync with iCloud and then available on devices

I’ve used them mostly on iPad but all work on iPhone.

Should have mentioned this. You need a library card from your local branch.

Goodreader on App Store goes for 6,99€ and can edit PDFs. Is that the one you're talking about?

Ditto the Libby rec. It beams into your library card account and works on all your devices flawlessly.

What site has the erotic literature, so I can avoid it . . .

Google play books. Most of the free books on the front page are erotic ones.

Good luck avoiding those ;)

Libby is pretty great but I don’t know how widely available it is.

Zlib has been discontinued for a long time. Libgen too but searched again and seems they are operational again
