What do you mean? For sure there is a screen protector on your photo. Look at those sharp edges around the screen and the island.

Buy a full case with a screen protector. Not those sticky plastic protectors but like a full on hard plastic cover.

The built-in case screen protectors cause more scratches than they prevent due to abrasive dust slipping between the glass and protector, but the glass adhesive protectors actually hide scratches.

If your phone has never been around abrasive dust, you're fairly safe. Just know that one small grain of sand or one fleck of metal could ruin your record.

Adhesive protectors also transmit light much better. That's why Apple switched from a replaceable floating glass outer layer to a bonded screen. Major loss for repairability, but it does look so much better.
