  • iPhone SE (modernized XR?)
  • iPhone 15 Mini (I don’t care if it had terrible sales numbers, people loved it)
  • iPhone 15
  • iPhone 15 Plus or Max (people like bigger phones, just bring the price down $50)
  • iPhone 15 Pro
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max

Im hoping we get USB-C and dynamic island on all models next year.

That’s not how numbers work. If people loved it it would have sold more

Terrible sales = people did not in fact love it overall (hence the terrible sales numbers)

They should come out with a mini every 2-3 years it doesn’t have to be the most recent specs either.

There won’t be a new SE in 2023. Most likely spring of 2024. They have had to scale back on production of the 14 Plus. It’s sales are worse than the mini. The Pro Max will probably be replaced by the Ultra. Dynamic island most likely will come to everything but the SE. USB-C technically doesn’t have to happen until the iPhone 17 so I’m guessing they’ll squeeze at least one more year out of Lightning.

My theory/hope is that the new SE might use the mini body, they have the tooling for it, the SE would get a bigger screen and people who want a mini would be happy too.

seeing how Apple is increasing prices, this would be a great justification

I can’t see them releasing both 15 mini and 15 max/plus in one year. Also can’t see a new SE being released. Apple will have to decide between releasing a 15 mini or 15 max.

Simply cancel the base lineup, just keep SE, pro and pro max is sufficient.

Nah, I think the base lineup for people who want a mid-range phone. Pro lineup is more of a high-end phone.

But in reality the base line is more expensive than mid-range. For current line up, iPhone SE has already filled the mid-range sector…

No. They are definitely mid range because the Pros are Apple’s high end flagship

iPhone SE and iPhone Mini should be made a single compact phone series.

I think it should be:-

6.1 inch iPhone 15 with reduced price, 6.5 inch iPhone 15 Pro and 6.8 inch iPhone 15 Ultra

I really hope the phones don’t get any bigger. I already think the 6.1” is big on my 14 Pro.

Should be:

Budget option: iPhone SE

Small: iPhone mini

Medium: iPhone

Large: iPhone Pro Max

What if people want a bigger iphone, but don’t need the features of the pro?

What if people want a regular sized phone, but with the features of the pro?

What if I want a huge phone with no features?

What if I want a huge phone with X features and not Y features?

What if I want a small phone with X, Y, and Z features?

What if I want a… (insert random iphone configuration)?

… I think you get the point.. we could have a million different iPhone models and go more and more granular with the features to satisfy everyone, or Apple could simplify their line-up so new customers aren’t inundated by 20 different models with names like Pro, Pro max, plus, mini, etc.. it turns into a slippery slope of more and more names that will just get more confusing as more options are added.

I think sticking to a small selection of 3 - 4 models would serve them better. Include the more premium options on the standard size and pro max model, but give the pro max slightly more since it is the flagship of the lineup with the biggest battery.
