One could say: LTE = 4G LTE. Often used in the USA. Rest of the world 4G (rather than LTE) is more commonly used. LTE is a just a specific type of 4G.

I believe the only data settings you can get for iPhones are 3G and then LTE which is 4G and then 5G which is usually more expensive but faster and reaches more spots.
