Seems to extend the battery life quite a bit on my xs max and doesn’t impact performance visibly, what magic is this?

I heard LPM is using the more efficient small cores instead of big performance cores, is it worth it?

When traveling, on holiday etc. Not all the time with my 13Pro.

Had a shortcut to turn it on automatically on my X though. The battery was terrible

Ever since I got my 14 Pro, I stopped using it altogether. Battery is amazing and I hate that it turns off 120hz variable refresh rate.

Also I have used it in older phones too and in my honest opinion, it never made a drastic difference. It felt like placebo

I haven’t turned it off since I got my 14P. I don’t game or do anything intensive on my phone so being able to get 2+ days out of a charge is nice.

I get 2+ days without low power mode. Take it off. Or else you wasted your money on a phone youre not using to its fullest

I‘ve set an automation to set low power mode when my battery is lower than 20%

Not unless my phone is at 20% and I won’t get to a charger for some time, because the Auto-Lock is set to 30 seconds and I hate it

My iPhone 12 used to ask if I want low power mode when I hit 20%. But my iPhone 14 pro max doesn’t do the same. I couldn’t find any settings to fix it.

I set a shortcut that turns it on at 40%

Nope. I think I used it maybe 2-3 times since it's been out. My 13 pro max can last me all day 99% of the time.

I've never used low power mode on iphone. When i had the Samsung s9 I would use ultra power saving mode if I needed my phone to last a loooong time and only needed to text and call

If it doesn't impact you performance, then no problem with it. Since I always keep my battery charge between 20-90%, I do not really use it often. But definitely gives several hours more if you enable it so that's a good option when travelling.
