Got a brand new iPhone 11 but, when I tap to wake the screen or click the power button, it takes a second for the display to properly light up afterwards. Yes, double click for downloading apps and purchasing stuff was enabled by default. How do I disable that?

Under "wallet & apple pay" in settings there's a "double-click side button" toggle. If you shut that off the delay should go away.
