Call AppleCare and they will run an MRI (mobile resource inspector) remotely from your device.

This will determine whether it is hardware, software or environmental.

If it’s hardware, could he replaced under warranty. If not, argue your case.

If it’s software (hopefully it is as it’s the easiest fix) then backup, restore software from PC/Mac, restore backup and monitor for few days.

If it’s none of the above then it’s environmental. Wall adapter, cable, power board or wall socket.

Give it a shot, call takes 10 minutes and you’ll have a better direction to head in that way.

I will try calling. For some reason when I tried chat, it said "This is not supported in your region" (but used to work in the past). I'm in Seattle
