Scammers find these ads and google images that match the dog. Then they demand money through burner phones and keep demanding it even though they don’t actually have the animal. After a paid phone # look up, the dognapper’s number had been reported for several of the same scams/threats. It’s unfortunately common :(

The dog is actually lost. Someone tried to scam owner by saying they have the dog when they didn’t really.
