It's definitely in-character for the JC police to refuse to do police work. We still haven't fired the chief, so we officially approve of their performance, or lack of it.

Friendly reminder that leashing your dog isn't just for the safety of others, it's for your dog's safety too.

Also, don't give money to criminals. Shitty situation all around really, I hope they find a way to track them through Amazon.

Weird story. In the middle of that park how did they get away cleanly? Wouldn't you chase them? or at minimum have description of the people involved or vehicle make/model/license plate?

so many questions on my end.

So we did some detective work last night and found the “dognapper” to be a scammer. The dog’s owners are elderly and didn’t know. Reverse phone number check and a little more research showed that this is a common scam. Unfortunately that poor baby is still out there :(

Scammers find these ads and google images that match the dog. Then they demand money through burner phones and keep demanding it even though they don’t actually have the animal. After a paid phone # look up, the dognapper’s number had been reported for several of the same scams/threats. It’s unfortunately common :(

Fly at 40mph around those roads and do their best to stop park goers from enjoying the outdoors... in my experience anyway.

Bored guys looking to be super heros and taking out that aggression on park goers

Is the police chief elected by us or is he appointed by the Mayor?
