Is there anywhere good for this? Like sit down I mean…. or breakfast sandwich that’s good enough if there aren’t any sit down spots?

Searched this sub and don’t see many recs for these types of places

Edit: Clarity- looking for sit down, if no good sit downs I'd mean breakfast sandwich

One of my faves is Sam AM in Paulus hook, very cozy and casual and not outrageously priced. Scram which is on Erie which is open thurs-sunday mornings has some tables, they make amazing egg sandwhiches and pastries. The coffee shop O Kafe in Hamilton park does really good breakfast sandwiches, its not a restaurant though its a coffee place with some seats, but the food is good.

I'm confused, are you trying to go to a nice sit down brunch or to get a breakfast sandwich to go? There are a plethora of sit down brunch places. Satis is good, White Star is good, Hamilton Inn is good, Skinner's Loft is good, there are literally dozens of restaurants which serve weekend brunch, these are just my favorites.

For a basic BEC? I dislike most of what City Diner has to offer but they actually make a really good BEC. Little Sandwich Shop is good. Sprove is decent. Wonder Bagels in a pinch.

Fancier coffee shop grab and go breakfast sandwich? Maggie's is my favorite. Maman makes a good one, as does Short Grain Cafe. All pretty good, IMO, but all different.

People say the breakfast sandwich at Scram is amazing, but I haven't tried it, so can't provide an opinion. I know they get long lines for it.

City Diner is closed for indoor dining right now. They are doing renovations - takeout only.

Sam a.m. is the only answer. Chef Francis is the best.

Weekday or weekend? Weekday - Sam AM or Beechwood Cafe. Weekend - most places do brunch, but White Star is the best IMO.

LOVED Sam AM the time I went with a friend visiting from out of town. Small place but felt cozy and the food and service were great.

Only biscuits and gravy I'll eat north of the Mason Dixon line, but I don't love their breakfast sandwiches.

Latham House and Mathew’s are good sit down brunch spots. Scram has my favorite breakfast sandwich (ham with pineapple jam), but they’re only open 8am-12pm, Thurs-Sun.

Not in Downtown, but the egg sandwich at Semicolon cafe is yummy! It’s crowded in the mornings, so I usually go early at 7.30-8 or slightly later at 10. Plenty of tables to sit down and eat too.

Lots of good options. Life Pancake Factory for good diner breakfast. Kitchen Step, Latham House, Hamilton Inn, and Mathew’s are nice for a higher end brunch. Porta and Hamilton Pork are good for a more casual fun brunch. Buddy’s is also a solid option, and Gussy’s is great (just doesn’t have waiter service, but everything is solid and the space is nice).

Rumba Cubana is pretty much your only option.
