Hi everyone,

I recently graduated from Rutgers and finally got a job in Hudson Yard area(still in process tho). I am currently living in Newark area and considering move to Jersey City for less commute time. The google map shows that the commute time is almost the same if I live near the Harrison Path Station compared to Jersey City appartment(Grove St, etc). I am really confused about this and desperately need some advice on the appartment location.

I found a post of 1000$ apparment looking for roomate near the Harrison Path Station

My budegt is 1500 - 1800$(sharing the living room apparently).

Any advice is appreciated.

You'd definitely be able to find a 1br in your budget within a 15-20 min walk of the PATH, you're young, you don't mind a little walk or bike ride, right?

I'm in the same situation. Going to be working in Hudson Yards, considering Weehawken

Harrison is a bedroom community. Your positive is the train to take you to where ever. Hopefully it's cheaper but I have no idea how pricing works these days (makes no sense to me)

JC is more of a full city. Hoboken is closer and like 2/3 of a city more than Harrison. If you can afford all 3 it's a lifestyle question, and how much money you want to save VS access to things you'd want to use alot.

I work in Hudson Yards and live by Grove St Path(5min walk). With your budget, living near grove st will be tough.
