Per sign on the door. Unclear if they are open Sunday or if the last day is actually Saturday.

Same. We were lone soldiers in the neighborhood then. I always loved seeing the fun lights in the dining room windows from my apartment. When nothing was in the neighborhood, it was always a comforting site. My how the neighborhood has changed. And due to change more.
Oh no, hopefully it doesn't negatively affect Vitek Vanecek's play ahead of the playoffs.
Would explain his play on Tues
Understandably distraught over hearing the news
Explain?
A few weeks ago, he was interviewed after a Devils win (I think it was a Sunday afternoon game), and he said he was going to get hibachi after the game because his wife wanted it, and it was just across the street. A couple hours later, he posted a clip to his Instagram that was clearly from Teppan.
Bummer, that’s our go-to when we want both sushi and cooked Japanese food takeout. Will have to order tomorrow night!
Yep, same. We always ordered - somehow we never made it there to eat in.
We went in once on a Friday for lunch a couple months ago as we live close and I think we were the only ones in there, or close to it. The waiter said they hadn’t gotten the work lunch crowd back yet which probably killed a chunk of their business
I did a few work lunches there pre-COVID and it was pretty empty even back then.
If I recall correctly, they also have a second floor that didn’t seem to get much use. So maybe the space is a bit too big or expensive for them.
Also, I think it’s a little too far away from the waterfront office buildings to pull in the type of lunch crowd that a place like Honshu can.
I remember being happy about this place opening and thinking its a nice addition to the neighborhood, and then I never went, so I can't say I am surprised.
Somewhat unfortunate, but that seems like a pretty big space so hopefully something good will replace it.
Awh, man… dang, I really liked them.
Teppan had a good run. 12-13 years in that location. Better than a lot of other restaurants in the area.
anyone know how to contact hai di lao and tell them to move into this space lol

That's sad. They're one of the few places that were open in the neighborhood when I moved in. It was just them, Chili's, Powerhouse Coffee, and O'Hara's. O'Hara's is the only one left.
