I know the local Salvation Army closed and I have a Buy Nothing Group that I participate in but there is inconsistent demand.

I need to do a decently sized closet cleanout of workwear (shoes, blazers, sweaters, etc.) and some miscellaneous home items (blankets, etc.)

Is there a Goodwill, Charity or Dropbox you recommend? As a new parent I need something that can be “one and done” (no Facebook Marketplace, etc) because I have limited childcare to manage and coordinate.

Thanks in advance!

Since the Salvation Army (near Holland Tunnel) closed, we now donate/drop off at the 'Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center' located at 242 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Jersey City, NJ 07305.

Albeit on the main road, we always find a parking spot right out in front and so it's easy to drop off items into there donation bins just inside the store.

Hope that helps.

I use Greendrop. You pick a delivery date on their website and set your donations outside (marked) and a trucks comes to pick up the donations.

The Triangle Park Community Center takes all sorts of things. Downtown, the York Street Project can take some clothes and bags but I don’t think they accept shoes. There are also bins behind ShopRite.
