I went to a place in Teaneck. Maybe it was Englewood. Let me get the address and come back

Asante's Restaurant in Teaneck. Maybe Newark has something closer, but I thoroughly enjoyed Asante's.

Surulere Suya Spot @suruleresuyaspot You’ll thank me after you try their jollof rice. Nothing I’ve tried in Newark comes close. It tastes like proper party jollof.

I can't attest to it's quality (yet), but I walked into African Grill on Monticello to grab a menu the other day and was pleased to see they've got it. Guy was real nice too.

There’s an African Grill located at 140 Monticello Ave. Never had a chance to eat there but I pass by all the time they might have. Workers are really cool.

Nothing in JC that I’m aware of. Newark and the Bronx have options. JC is a bit weak on west African fare.

Newark definitely has some options. Might not be exactly what OP asked for but interestingly enough there’s a Mexican - Ghanaian fusion food truck called Afro Taco in Newark that’s pretty good.

Go make some Senegalese friends at the mosque on west side. There’s a lady that sells Senegalese food from her house. I can’t remember her name right now but someone in the mosque will.

AFRICA KINE in NYC. Am an adventurous eater and dragged my college friends to this place. First time ever tried mafe and is still my favorite dish. I don't see the big deal about Jollaf but it was good.
