Typically I order tires online and go somewhere like Pep Boys or Mavis to get them mounted, but I’m pretty sure they will only mount tires that are new with a sticker still on them.

One of my tires is damaged, and I already have an old one that I kept from last time they were replaced. Can anyone recommend a place that will mount it? Thanks.

Just go to Marcos on Fairmount Ave.

Seconding Marcos. Bought a used tire from them but I doubt they’d have an issue mounting a tire bought elsewhere.

Might try a place that repairs damaged rims. I’ve used came metal works on Pacific, they did a good job

I've bought both of my cars to Meer and Rene at Willow Sunoco in Hoboken for years (as have friends of mine) and found them reasonable and good quality in their work... They're at 13th and Willow. Good to call beforehand because they get really busy and can tell you when to drop your car. They'll call you when it's complete.

I will give them a call, thanks! Already have my spare on the car, so the tire that needs replacing is on a loose wheel, should make it pretty easy.

Well...wish I had better news to report. Went over there and they wanted 45 (plus tax, even with cash) just to mount the one tire...and then also tried to convince me it didn’t need balancing because it was a used tire. I was more than a little dumbstruck, calmly told the guy forget it, and left.

Ended up going over to CAME on Pacific as u/ajkd92 mentioned - paid $10 for mounting, and then went over to Costco and paid another $5 for balancing.

Wow, dang so sorry that happened. I prob should have helped you with that - they treat me well after all the years I've been there. I'm going to tell them they messed up.

No sweat man, not your fault! Just wanted to follow up, I know I’d want to know too if it were the other way around. No harm done :)

There is a spot on the jug handle on Manhattan Ave. before Ringside Lounge. it’s changed hands a few times but they’ve put on used tires for me before
