To that comment, which was deleted..

You would think it was “white people” style. But it’s actually a second restaurant with same menu as a jsq Indian place. Staffed and so far from what I see frequented mostly by Indian folks.

Menu is not dumbed down or Americanized at all was pretty confusing since I’m not Indian but the lady was nice and explained it

Was really good. Hope it does well, they said they are getting good business

What would be really helpful is if someone could create descriptions of what the menu items are and post them here, and maybe give the descriptions to the restaurant.

Yea I even said it wrong. What I had is a vada pav, which is a vada sandwich; the vada being the potato thingy

To add:

Pav literally means “bread”.

So Vada Pav means the potato thingy and bread.

I don't know what the deleted comment said but I assume it was way off base. My family often makes vada pav and it's pretty much as you describe and as is in the picture. Idk if we grill hamburger buns just because it's convenient to buy in bulk but this is not unique to my family, pretty much the whole western/northern Indian diaspora in the U.S. uses buns for the sandwich (though, I personally prefer brioche or challah).

I agree. I asked them and it’s the same concept at Nando’s in JSQ. The taste was decent and similar. Hope it does well. !
