Spiciest dish I can think of is the phaal at brick lane curry house. I had it once on a dare in the city, I’d imagine they have it at the JC location.

The chef makes it with a gas mask.

Another vote for Brick Lane. In fact, they are sort of known for their "challenge". Their regular menu stuff is excellent. REALLY like this place, and I am super glad it is here because I no longer feel compelled to trek all the way to Little India to have good Indian food.

+1 for phaal curry. It’s more pain than any kind of taste you’d enjoy IMO.

911 sauce at the former Cluck U in Hoboken was also a good dare back in the day.

Try the triple pepper chicken at King Szechuan. Not stupid, inedible hot, but pretty hot.

Frog Leg Hot Pot at Grand Sichuan, if they still have it on the menu. Spiciest dish I’ve ever tasted. The broth is deep red, and it has 25-30 dried hot chillies swimming around in it. Completely burned out my taste buds for the rest of the evening after one bite.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not recommending it. I’ll never get it again. But it is spicy.
