Hey all. Is there any reddit board where you can sell things within jersey city? For instance a place where you can list used and new items that you trying to get rid of. Is that even allowed on reddit? Thanks in advance!!

Edit: In addition to things I have in my home, I'm also looking to market the customized items that I make to potential local buyers

I have had a lot of success selling items within jersey city on craigslist. Typically takes 24-48 hours. Cash and carry type stuff.

I've used Nextdoor but it's hit or miss tbh. I've heard facebook marketplace is decent but I am never allowed to post when I sign up.

Thank you. I have sold a few things on fb marketplace but most of the time the potential buyers aren't serious and it becomes a waste of time

I've had success both buying and selling on Facebook Marketplace.

I've used Facebook marketplace and it's OK but it's totally overrun with scammers, and loads of people that will click the "is this still available" button and then never respond back. Takes way more work to filter through all the bullshit than Craigslist where someone has to go through the trouble of typing up an email to you.

I recently tried FB Marketplace and it's almost all scammers now. They're all running some dumb Venmo scam where they to get you to send them money because they "overpaid" or some nonsense. They're not even local to try to get the item.

I had a pretty good luck with FB marketplace. Yeah, there are scammers, but most so unimaginative and uninspired, it’s pretty easy to ignore them. I haven’t run into any choosing beggars yet.
