It is extremely dangerous
And why is that?
Got it. Thank you!
Thank you. Unfortunately I can't visit as I'm living in Boston. I did visit once but didn't check that area.
Which sub are you talking about?
It's incredibly safe. The cost of the rent alone should tell you that.
They’re trolling
No, it's heavily landmined
just to echo what's already been shared - it's absolutely a generally safe area. The management company of 333 grand owns all of the buildings and streets in the direct area and has nighttime security and cameras everywhere for the added layer of protection. You're still in a city so will naturally have anything that comes along with living in a city and 333 grand being so near to the hospital and light rail can sometimes bring some interesting characters but nothing that should deter from living there or that you wouldn't find elsewhere.
now, the lantern fly issue in this neighborhood of jersey city begs an entirely different concern.
It’s safe. You’re good
This subreddit they mean.
If you dont know how to use search, then you will be crimed
Landmines are fine. Muggers are a problem
Thank you! I felt the rent there was slightly less than that in Paulus Hook and that was another reason I was concerned.
Thank you!
Paulus Hook is a closer to the PATH, quieter and feels more like a residential neighborhood because the buildings are smaller scale. Main difference in the rent. Both areas are perfectly safe, though.
Yeah I'd stick to NY then
Got it! Thanks!
>Got it! Thanks!
You're welcome!
Considering the rent there, I wouldn't have anything left to be mugged
It's not really higher than here. Wait until you see your first renewal letter for a 28% increase
There have been reported drone strikes in and around the area
It’s close to razza and that’s all it matters
Super safe, I'd say, but also very noisy. The hospital is right there, so be ready for sirens galore.
People get shot everyday B
Safe in what way? Traffic/pedestrian safety? Grand st can be busy so just be careful crossing the street. Personal safety like robberies mugging? It’s pretty safe however mugging or robberies can happen anywhere. I don’t think it’s a major problem here. Severe weather? This area is prone to flooding. Hurricane Sandy hit this neighborhood hard and he proximity to the river flooded many homes here.
Any other particulars?
Super safe area! I also moved here from Boston and couldn’t be happier here. Much more friendly people here and pretty much anything you need is available close by. One thing I’ll say is that if you don’t have a parking spot it might be difficult to snag one on the street at times
Been living at Liberty Harbor for over a decade now. I consider it safe.
Good point. I'd change my decision based on that
