Yeah, I'm sure the JC police are all over solving this crime. We vote to have what we have.

Kids having their fun vandalizing. They're begging to be made an example of, why can't cops release the video and let the internet handle it?

I loved those seats - when I saw them gone I figured the city had taken them in for the winter or something. I'm glad they lasted as long as they did. What a purposefully horrible thing to do.

The sad thing is even if they caught the guy who did it he would not be punished - police/prosecutors have been completely hand strung by this DA, Mayor, etc.

Is it illegal to fish them out by hand? If I wont get arrested, i'll do it tomorrow evening.

Well it is very cold water, very slippery, and you probably would t have proper safety gear. Im not sure if it would be trespassing but the fence and wall kind of imply “do not cross”.

Maybe if you used a rope and a hook to catch them and pull them up?

They should report it to the Police, not that the Jersey City Police Department cares about things like that , but if it gets to the right ears they may be forced to investigate. Surveillance cameras help significantly in situations like this. Volunteers may want to pick up what was thrown into the river.

There's gotta be security cameras from one of the many surrounding office/apt buildings. Not sure if JCPD would investigate but would be great if they did. I'm guessing the value of the chairs and tables is large enough as a whole to at least legally warrant an investigation...

No wonder I couldn’t find any chairs and tables during lunch time today. Who the hell would do that…wonder how their brain function…
