Yep but was in the road

So, cyclist had to swerve to the road, as the bike lane was blocked, which resulted in them getting hit. Am I understanding correctly?

Possibly, did not witness it but definitely a head on collision with speed, the windshield looked like someone jumped out of a two story window, maybe three.

Not sure how a cyclist can get into a head on collision on that part of the lane.
