They need to get rid of that dumb weekend schedule…. The Saturday trains I take have been far more crowded than any train I take during the week. It’s also a bit ridiculous to have to wait 10, 20, 40 minutes between trains…

I also don't get the NWK-WTC line on weekends - you will know 100% that the WTC bound train will be "delayed" because it is meant to come before the NWK bound one, and is always magically "delayed" until that train passes and it arrives 2mins later... just coincidence every weekend that it happens

My favorite game is trying to get home from 14th Street and having no clue if the downtown side is the side that is closed or not until you physically walk down the stairs and have to haul ass back across 6th Ave. Schrödinger’s PATH.

The PATH always loved to have scheduled "delays," where it may say they run every 30 minutes on say the :00 and :30, but then for 6 hours over night they'll just happened to have a delay of 10 minutes on every train, where 1 train magically disappears every 2 hours.

I guess we have to count our blessings with them, as they actually wanted to completely stop weekend service.....as if no one works on weekends, or may just want to enjoy their free time in the city.

They wanted to stop weekend service? That’s when it’s the most crowded these days!

Key problem is it’s like they’re trying to run the service like a for-profit company when it’s a government project (as far as I know) so shouldn’t be run in a “profitable” way

It’s even worse that it’s an intergovernmental organization, that is answerable to neither NY or NJ in particular, or anyone at all for that matter.

The PATH weekend schedule is a flat out nightmare. Keep packing people into Jersey City, while they keep reducing service. There were more trains a decade ago when less people lived here.

They’ve been doing the reduced schedule since 2006 when it was for 9/11 related repairs. Insane.

9/11 became Sandy became COVID. Amazing how every decade they can come up with a new excuse for shitty service
