I know theres a certain amount rule for it to be considered a felony. I think if its like under $50 its just a misdemeanor but regardless I did file the police report and mentioned that I did get the CCTV footage for one of the days the package was taken.

The law recently changed to make stealing packages, irrespective of value, an indictable offense (NJ felonies), but the wrinkle here is that it seems to be happening inside the residence.
