I’m looking to start meeting people my age in the area, and I can’t decide between cornhole and volleyball. Which intramural company is better/more social? Are they about the same?

I feel like cornhole would be the best starting place, as I am not very active and have no clue how to play volleyball, but I’m really looking for what would be the best for someone going into it solo.

Zog has fallen off. Avoid them st all costs. Hive is great.

Hive has its shit together and has the better offering of sports and locations. Everyone joins up for Hive over Zog unless they’re part of a legacy team.

My vote is for cornhole. Bonus points if you can convince your team to name themselves The Cornholios.

We pride ourselves on being social and having great happy hours! We’d love to have you join us this winter!

We still have room in our Jersey City Volleyball or Hoboken Cornhole leagues.

Feel free to reach out with any questions!

What's with these crappy nets and half court set up? These roll out nets ain't it. That's what my family uses in their backyard.

No lines to show legal/illegal hits?

Cool logo but if I'm looking to play vball I would rather have a legit set up.

Unfortunately our gyms don’t have in-ground systems… but if you scroll through the other pictures/videos I think you’ll see that our net setup has improved season over season and continues to get better - is it perfect? No. But we do our best with what’s available.

Zog does have access to gyms that have in-ground systems so if that’s important to you then I’d check them out!

If you’re looking to have fun and meet new people then I think we’re the best option… but I’m biased 😉

Signing up as an individual or small group is a great way to meet people if you’re new to town or just want to make new friends.

At least 1/3 of all of our leagues (and oftentimes as many as 2/3) are made up of individuals/small groups!
