Canonically Gotham City is in NJ in the DC universe. It’s not NYC or located in NY.

There's definitely cornfields between us and Gotham. Probably a bunch of horse farms too.

I feel so cheated. NY has been gallivanting for decades about it being the OG Gotham. Whole time it’s really been in south jersey.
