Weird they called animal control but the rules apply to you. There are a billion dog parks in JC.

But if everyone played with their dogs on the tennis courts the courts would get gross. Instead of deciding on a case by case basis it's much easier to say "no dogs."

but like why the tennis courts? there's an open field adjacent to it?? honestly those courts aren't well maintained as-is and expensive and if ppl see you and your dog in there, they're gonna be apt to bring their dog and they might not be as respectful as you and let their dog piss or shit in there.

I don't want to use the designated dog park because it's contains dog shit, instead I'll go and make someplace else covered in shit and disgusting.

Robin.

I get your frustration. But. The fact is you violated the rules and were forced to face a minor inconvenience (not even a consequence) as a result.

This is the chance you take when you break the rules. Deal with it and move on.

Hot tip - the field behind Liberty Science Center is a de facto off leash dog run. Use that instead.

I’ve never had anyone say a thing to me or my dog at Berry Lane (other than a few “hey can I pet your dog?”).

But that’s probably because I don’t 1) openly break rules and act like they don’t apply to me; 2) act like a victim when confronted; and 3) show a complete lack of consideration for other neighbors using the park.

also i don't know your doggo, but for bigger pups especially, their claws can scratch and tear the surface of courts more so than just sneakers making it more susceptible to environmental damage too. As a local tennis player it'll be nice to come back to some decent courts once the weather clears :)
