Are there any other people in the Palaus Hook area hearing loud car engine sounds at night? We heard it on New Year's Eve and again today (January 1st). It feels like someone is racing cars in Liberty State Park all night... Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

From what I can tell car culture like that has a decent scene in this area. I live in the Heights and I hear it a lot. Some of them meet up nearby my apartment. They’re not always racing (not enough room) but showing off how fast the car can be. Annoying either way though. Not sure much can be done about it.
Speed bumps everywhere. I'd like to see them bottom out a dozen times trying to do 0-60.
It's illegal in every state to modify a car to make more noise, and 95% or more of them modified their car to make it sound like that
