9 months? York has been under construction for 3 years (no joke). They’ve been moving up 1 block at a time with a timeframe of 6-9 months a block. So ridiculous. You’d think they’re installing the aqueduct from NYC to the Finger Lakes. Tax $ not hard at work.

At this point we should have just combo'ed this with a subway, old school cut and cover. Probably take the same amount of time as this

I drove down York Street the other day (surprised to find it was no longer blocked off entirely from Jersey Avenue) and I regretted my decision almost immediately. The condition of that road is not suitable for cars AT ALL. They might as well keep it closed. What a shit show of a project, and I can't believe residents there have had to put up with that.

They have excavated the intersection of Marin and York a minimum of thrice. You might also want to have a go bag ready for when they inevitably puncture a gas line.

Yeah you're right, after I commented I remembered the work seems to be moving along the entire street downtown. I think I only really started paying attention when the work approached Jersey Ave.

Earlier this AM saw Spiniello tearing up more of York Street I think towards Marin Blvd & putting up fresh No Parking signs in that area.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding their work but it definitely feels like relining pipes like they're doing takes way way longer vs just replacing entirely. And they dig up the street either way.
