I saw them digging up in front of my apartment this morning. I know 100% no signs yesterday!

If it is Spiniello be prepared for close to a year's worth of street work. Basically what York Street has been going through for the last ~9 months or so. I think Erie St & 2nd St has had the same thing going on.

9 months? York has been under construction for 3 years (no joke). They’ve been moving up 1 block at a time with a timeframe of 6-9 months a block. So ridiculous. You’d think they’re installing the aqueduct from NYC to the Finger Lakes. Tax $ not hard at work.

Yeah you're right, after I commented I remembered the work seems to be moving along the entire street downtown. I think I only really started paying attention when the work approached Jersey Ave.

Earlier this AM saw Spiniello tearing up more of York Street I think towards Marin Blvd & putting up fresh No Parking signs in that area.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding their work but it definitely feels like relining pipes like they're doing takes way way longer vs just replacing entirely. And they dig up the street either way.

I drove down York Street the other day (surprised to find it was no longer blocked off entirely from Jersey Avenue) and I regretted my decision almost immediately. The condition of that road is not suitable for cars AT ALL. They might as well keep it closed. What a shit show of a project, and I can't believe residents there have had to put up with that.
