I will say that even though the law is on your side, you might want to think about whether it is worth it to you to have to go to court to fight over getting back the cost of a microwave, etc. A lot of shady landlords withhold money from the security deposit that they know they shouldn't, but keep just enough so that fighting for it isn't worth your time.
