Have you ever noticed that when you are on Warren Street looking toward the Statue of Liberty from, say, Montgomery Street, the statue looks large and close, and as you walk toward the statue, it almost seems to get smaller and recede? It's an illusion, of course. Much like how the moon or sun appears larger and closer when on the horizon. Try it sometime.

Yes exactly, and I wanted to mention that....it's just like when the moon is close to a building, and it looks like you can reach out and touch it
