Cool link. Even his 2nd attempt was not the last plan. The PA was actually created 102 years ago to build a lower Hudson freight rail crossing, and we're still waiting! A century of failure...

It's hard to recognize the tunnel without seeing a 1989 Toyota Corolla with its emergency lights on being pushed by two people.

imagine a pedestrian/bike bridge from newport to downtown, or hoboken to midtown. that would be amazing.
