Last year I moved 4 blocks over and my new street doesn't have Fiber internet like the old one... Cox internet has been SUPER UNRELIABLE, especially this past week.

Seems the roll out of fiber has been really slow in general, was hoping to hear from someone that it's still happening.

Fiber was supposed to roll out in the late 90's and early 2000's but never was. Pretty much both AT&T and Cox are lying when they say Fiber's been installed.

I'm on Elbur right off Clifton. The fastest AT&T service available for me is 24Mbps. I keep checking every 4-6 months and there's no change.

How is it possible that the most densely populated city between NY and Chicago does not have fiber throughout the entire city?

I've e-mailed and Tweeted at our local government officials, hoping they had more information, but I've heard nothing in response.

It's been infuriating. And the lack of competition is horrible for residents. My $112 internet on my current street only costs $69 on my old street because there is ATT Fiber available and therefor more competition.

Call cox, make them replace lines and such. I had some issues and they ran a new line and replaced a few in my house and I rarely have problems now.

Just made a service appointment. Replacing the modem didn't help.

I'll see if I can get them to replace the line.

I don't have fiber but I haven't noticed Cox being slow any evening this week. Right now I have 350 down and 12 up

It's been so bad. I've always hated cable internet, it's never consistent... But when I had ATT fiber is was so fast and consistent... I miss it so much.

If it's any consolation I've noticed a lot of the buildings I work in have had fiber installed recently. I'm sure this is to get the most bang for their buck, and Lakewood being so densely populated it probably isn't too far off before it's pulled into entire neighborhoods.

I'm at riverside and detroit and Cox went down to 50 down a few times in the evening this week but I usually have 300

I was under the impression that after AT&T's acquisition they weren't going to run much more fiber
