One of my "Sovietwave" tracks inspired by memories of the 1980s era Eastern Europe (not from there but traveled there as a child)

The track was produced entirely using Logic Pro's stock instrument libraries, performed on a small MIDI keyboard, as well as some vocal samples I recorded of myself (designed to sound like synths, not actual human vocals)

The animation in the video was rotoscoped footage I did by downsampling(?) it to about 5 frames per second (fps) and then converting each photo still into an illustration (which you can probably do more of in the future with AI tools)

Sasha Vie - "Training Day" (Spotify Apple etc)

Enjoy!

Hey everyone, just wanted to share this little cheeky synthwave tune my partner and I cooked up. My partner went about this music journey with a very raw beginning. Our first album was full of unpolished displays of musicianship and many rookie mistakes in all aspects of music production. We took some time off to fix those things and I feel like this new single shows a lot of growth. Enjoy.

We are on Instagram if you wanna join us in the journey:

Here's the video for a new song called Probably Impossible. A sombre song with some beautiful electric guitar arrangements by Nick Rousseau of Terranaut Recordings in New York (also check him and they're stuff out!). Any listens/shares/comments would be appreciated!

Hi everyone! I also put out a new song that I was inspired to make after watching the Netflix series "The End of The F***ing World." There's this young and troubled character called Alyssa in the series and for some reason I always wanted her story told more. She's frustrated, angry, and ready to fight and I love feminine rage so it spoke to me! I hope you like it :) Gonna go listen to everyone's music in this thread now!

DJ Sliide - "Perspectives"

Hi, everyone. I would like to invite you to listen to my newest track. It's a chillhop/jazzhop beat with E. piano improvisation that explores various colors in E and F. I'm very proud of it, but I'm still looking for creative feedback as I continue to cultivate my artistic capacity. Any criticisms would be highly appreciated.

Thank you, and be easy.

This is a new song we made to enter the NPR Tiny Desk competition but I missed the application deadline! Oh well. It’s 2 acoustic guitars, one of which being a nylon string. We lost one of the DI inputs so we just used large diaphragm condensers. Filmed in a garage with a tiny desk, as per the contest rules. Missed out entering the competition but maybe someone can enjoy it anyway?

acts as a kind of introduction to the whole work.

A tune from"Sting Theory" by Uncle Thang and the Big Bee- an album of soundtrack-y electronica and occasional rock leanings from my pal Uncle Thang and his (almost certainly imaginary) insect accomplice The Big Bee. Kinda moody, this track has a bit of an 80's T Dream vibe and features a stylophone I reckon

I'm an upstate NY songwriter and just posted some new tunes online this week. I'm 41 and kind of disconnected from any actual music scene, I just do this for the sheer enjoyment of creating. Still, it feels good to share it with people sometimes.

Kinda dark alt-rock/indie stuff. For fans of.. I dunno, Young Widows, Fugazi, Bob Mould/HD? You tell me. If you're a fan of either Richard Thompson or Swans (really running the gamut here. Haha), some covers await you.

For your listening pleasure.

Max Plattner - Ploy

Hey there music lovers of Reddit!

I am thrilled to share my latest album, "Ploy," with you all. Featuring a talented group of musicians from Austria and Italy, this album is a unique blend of jazz, hiphop, and experimental music that will take you on a journey through different soundscapes and emotions.

From the haunting vocals of Anja Obermayer on "Ploy 8: Their fault" to the mesmerizing guitar riffs of Andi Tausch, each track on this album is a masterpiece in its own right. The innovative drumming of Max Plattner, the groovy basslines of Marco Stagni, and the atmospheric synth and keyboard work of Sebastian Schneider all come together to create a truly captivating listening experience.

But the magic doesn't stop there! With recording and mixing by Fabian Rucker and mastering by Dave Darlington, the production quality of this album is top-notch.

So, if you're in the mood for some fresh, exciting music, give "Ploy" a listen. I promise you won't be disappointed!

I just uploaded this little tune and music video called "Everlasting Clarity" It's a soothing lullaby featuring Spring creek and birds and me singing, and playing harp, kalimba and a double flute (ocarina). For those who like fantasy, larp vibes.

It's very short and I'd love to have some feedback both on the music and video

I've kept it close to the chest for 40 years, but I recorded a number of tracks in the 80's with some semi-known players, and never released them. Tonight I've premiered a video for my single "Completely Normal" which was recorded in 1984. I'm not 100% sure it was once of the Radio Tokyo sessions, but I know it was on the tape Spot and Dave Van Heusen preserved of my work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9ShlQYm-ho

I was just trying to be avant-garde at the time, but I think the lyrics really relate to people today looking to be influencers!

BRUSACA - just staring

To me, just staring is more than just a song. It was a transcendental experience making it (I let it loop over and over for days).
It started as a simple mantra to wake me up when I noticed I was scrolling for waaaaay too long. Right now, if I'm numb on social media, this song just pops in my head and reminds me I'm hiding from real life in an unhealthy way.
I hope it touches you like it did to me! Let me know anything that comes to your mind while listening.
