Dude I definitely get that way sometimes, I’ve come to realize that I plateau after writing a couple dank tracks. My solution has been to work with other artists, or watch videos of other producers. That always seems to light a fire under my butt so to speak. Finding new techniques to master my Daw(ableton) or sampling tricks.

I LOVE kassi! Her music is mesmerizing and she some how adds a feeling of psyche influence to her country style. Definitely recommend her album "Dear Dead Days"

And if you like her, check out Abby Webster, she's got bit more of an upbeat feel. Check out the song "Tall Boy" by her.

Something to kick back and relax with. I love the idea of floating through space just observing the universe. This song, and a few others, were inspired by how that thought makes me feel. I genuinely hope you enjoy it.

I'm new to the music creation world. If you like what you hear please consider subscribing If you don't tell me how I can improve. I like to do a little better each time.

AlwaysSkilled t1_irugxes wrote

I see what you were trying to accomplish. The synths really sound clean and beautiful. The drums sounds a bit dry and lifeless, as if being played by a depressed robot.

maybe more reverb & delay on the drums, and automation to give them move movements like the synths.

this is also a long song so you could add some sounds fxs here and there that only come in once so that it doesn't sound as loopy.

this sounds great, a complete song. I was wondering what was missing so I compared to other songs in the genre. and I think it's missing overall compression. everything sounds great but every things sounds spread out living on their own universe vs living in one universe. The drum can be bussed together and compressed together. The guitar could have more saturation/ compression to cut through. apart from that, the composition sounds great. You prob did all that already but I think it could be even more glued together.

No Humor Is Good Humor - "Betty-Bie Beau: A Vampire Love Story (a cotton eye joe song parody)" \ https://youtu.be/2ag8ssfhszE

This is a parody of a popular song "Cotton Eye Joe" but our version is a sort of a mix between a Bill Monroe version and the Rednex version. We also thought it would be funny to have lyrics based around some vampire tropes. There's is also a bit of drama which was somewhat improvised, which happens before, during, and after the main song happens.

Hi Everyone! Happy Monday to you all!

I'm Tobi. Indie Electro/Experimental Electronic Pop Artist based in Luxembourg. After 15 months of work, my debut album, "We Need in the Dark" is finally out! Listen via the streaming platform of your choice [via Songlink] or via Bandcamp, as you prefer.

Tobisonics - "We Need Light in the Dark" [Album] [Streaming Platforms via Songlink]

Tobisonics - "We Need Light in the Dark" [Album] [Bandcamp]

The opening track, "Panic" was named The Songbird/In Your Ears Music Track of the Day and described as "..gives you elements of Pet Shop Boys, early Daft Punk, Erasure”. Martha Richler of Resonance Radio said, "it made me think of what I love in Daft Punk, Giorgio, and Public Service Broadcasting”. The third track on the album, "How Do You Say Life is Wonderful" was reviewed by Zone Nights, "it will give a special feeling to your Friday night, it sounds like a fast trip towards an intergalactic road”.

I wanted to make an album that gave people hope; an album that said, the worse things get, the more we need to find the wonder in life. In these difficult times, optimism isn’t naive, it’s imperative to our survival. In doing so, I ended up telling my own story of ongoing recovery from chronic depression/anxiety and PTSD; the lesson I have learned and the ones I am still struggling to learn. By using recycled voices, from old public service announcements and Sci-Fi B-Movies, I found I could hide in plain sight. I found I could talk about subjects far more personal and painful than I could ever with my own voice.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to listen. It is very much appreciated!

Wishing you all the best!

Tobi.

is this supposed to be rapped over or for something else? it's missing a hook melody.

How would you "whistle" this beat to someone so that they remember what song you are talking about.

right now, it sounds cool n just drummy but I think more or one instrument would elevate it. Like that metallic brass in the background could be amplified with horns to sounds grandiose and easier to remember

"Good Sense Prelude" is a small collage of attempted keyboard tracks from a song I'll be releasing on October 21st titled "Good Sense."

In the software I use, when I am recording, I'll at times move tracks off to the side that I'm not ready to delete. My software was just going along the timeline when it came across my discarded tracks and they were layered in such a way that I found very pretty yet sad. Explore extraordinary ambient music from Steve Jansen, the co-founder of new wave legends Japan. His debut solo album “Slope” (2007) and a blend of songs and instrumentals “Tender Extinction” (2016) will be reissued in November on double 12’’ heavyweight vinyl. These reissues are timely and necessary, bringing particularly gorgeous high points of Steve Jansen’s sparkling oeuvre into new light.
“…he is a remarkable programmer and sampler, an electronic composer as interested in formlessness as he is in form, in the value of silence as much as he is in sound,“ writes “The Observer”
Steve Jansen recently also released new music in collaboration with Maiya Hershey, an album called “Neither Present Nor Absent”. With their debut record as a duo, both artists explore ghost stories over a collection of five drone-based, ambient works.

Hello, Just yesterday, I had the pleasure to work on the digital release of a long out-of-print spoken word album Borges made reading some of his work Borges por El Mismo. As a massive Jorge Luis Borges fan it was a privilege to listen to his isolated voice (and discover some unseen session photos).

When the session was over and all 4 albums were uploaded (1 for Borges, and other albums for Corazar, Marechal and Bonzalez Tuñon) I spent the late night of Thursday and some very early hours of Friday 14th/Oct developing this impromptu composition, my “live” upright piano, some synth and samples and Borges voice from his text “Borges y Yo”

I used:

  • Acoustic upright piano (Yamaha)

  • Subdivine

  • Valhalla Supermassive

  • Thrill (K inst)

The new single, "Break the Wall," by Rodeo Flip describes criminals robbing a bank, however, they make it look like they're shooting a movie on the outside. They hired actors as cops driving police vehicles, journalists, ... arriving at the crime scene. Hence the title "Break the Wall", as in "the fourth wall."

About Rodeo Flip: In his own words, "I received my schooling in music for over a decade by one of Belgium's best session musicians.
