Cool but sample quality (piano especially) could be better!

1

Brynna_CC t1_izvdj30 wrote

Hmm, I didn't use any samples. Are you talking about how I quantized my piano parts? The skipping effect is intentional but I get it if it's not your cup of tea.

I like the composition, the harmony and the notes! I'm just not a fan of the sounds used for the piano, drums and strings. I recommend libraries from 8dio, spitfire and Native Instruments. For piano I use a kontakt library called "The Giant" by NI or "Tube Piano" I got from the pianobook website! They sound amazing!! The one on pianobook is free btw

Hi all, I'm Sonnysational, and I recently released my first two electronically-produced Polyphia-inspired songs. Both songs feature the unique vocoded/multivoicer guitar sound that Tim Henson and Polyphia have been embracing in their recent works. I'm confident it'll be well worth your time to give them both a listen! Any form of feedback is also appreciated. Thanks!

I would be really interested in your critique

I’m a 45 year old guy who decided to form a rock band this year. We are a 4 piece band (drums, bass, guitar, keyboards) playing all original tunes. The hope is to start playing some shows in 2023 in the Twin Cities Metro area. We are unmistakably 90s kids, particularly early 90s. We love bands like Sonic Youth, Built to Spill, My Morning Jacket, Faith No More, Pixies, Jeff Buckley, Neil Young, etc. I just finished recording and mixing our first song called Prism. We are playing our first show on New Years Eve and are super excited.

Give it a listen and tell me what you think.

I released a new piano album yesterday. I usually release electronic/ambient music under the alias Aetherius, but this is a 10th anniversary version of an album I released as my side alias Beta in 2012. I wanted to do something for the anniversary but lost the original project files, so I remade all the songs on piano. Despite being a side alias, both the original album and this 10th anniversary version are available under my Aetherius profile on streaming services. I hope you enjoy!

Hi there folks, my band released a new single which was written as a homage to the soundtrack of our early youth, listening to 90's grunge such as Nirvana and Soundgarden, of course with our own twist.
This song talks about standing up for what you believe in, regardless of how much shit you've been through. It's called Defiance.
I hope you like it, and if you do, sharing won't do us any harm :))

Enphin - Protocosmic

Slightly industrial or electric, but very post-metal in spirit. From the latests album of the Finnish group formerly known also as Mr. Peter Hayden and PH.

"...and the electrogoth vibes of “Perpetual Night” and “Nothing,” the interlude-ish soundscapes of “The Test View,” “Kaiverrus,” “Drones” and the penultimate “Raunioina,” the meditative pulsations and synthesizer wash of “Moth,” “Communion”‘s heavier-landing beat and the more frenetic programmed chaos of “Protocosmic,” the four-piece bounce through moods and styles with out-there post-krautrock futurism and a Ulverian neo-New Wave atmosphere, progressive in construction and primal in much of the underlying rhythm despite the elaborate and well-mixed layers surrounding."

But I was over it. Got it out of my system. Then I started playing with these AI image generators, last summer, and Disco Diffusion, which was an early animation engine for the diffusion images. I wrapped it all in a karaoke parody and I hope you enjoy!

Hey all,
I’m a teacherfrom The Netherlands and currently working on a project with my students. Most
of them listen to their favorite music using Spotify. We are trying to find out things like how Spotify works, how much money an artist can make with streaming, how we can use marketing to get more streams and we are also very curious how many different countries we can reach. I know some of these answers can be found online, but it’s way more fun to find out for ourselves :) And maybe we can make it a hit song!
To do so I produced a couple of songs and uploaded them on Spotify by the name Ovenfrikandel (a Dutch snack, I can recommend it if you ever visit The Netherlands ;-)).
This music is called memetechno, which is very popular amongst young people in The
Netherlands and Belgium. It’s a mixture of hard techno beats with vocal samples from popular TikToks, YouTube videos, tv-shows or commercials.
It probably isn’t your taste of music, but if you could help us by spending 3 minutes
listening to the tracks in the playlist “for science (;-))” that would begreat! And if you do like it, feel free to follow!
Thanks in advance!
